The Remsberg Inc. Company Car

Edwin Remsberg's offical company car is a 1966 Land Rover Series IIa 109 Safari Top Station Wagon. This truck is powered by a Robert Davis GM 2.5l "Iron Duke" engine linked to a Rover Series III gearbox and Fairey Overdrive for high speed cruising. It rides on one ton Salisbury axles, has power brakes, and a fully galvinized frame. Outside it has a full roof rack with platform and Defender door tops. Inside it has seat belts for 9, CD stereo sound and a cupholder. Gas mileage is a subject we dont discuss in polite company.

Watch it in action HERE

The backup company car is a 1967 Land Rover Series IIa 88 safari top with original components. We take the top off and use it as a go cart around the farm . It would really be happy with a new frame and working brakes.

My first Land Rover was a leased 1970 Series IIa that I drove across Central America during the late 80's. It was last seen somewhere in Belize.
